The objective of this assignment was to apply our knowledge of Photoshop features in order to replicate a magazine ad. This allowed us to practice skills in canvas and image resizing, applying filters, using adjustment layers, adding text, and overall formatting.
The original magazine ad was provided by the instructor, and the content used for the project were used with permission from Unsplash.com and SeekLogo.com.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Step 1: The dimensions of the original ad were noted to create the canvas and ten placeholder frames for the ad image.
Step 2: Images were brought in to fill each of the frames, and adjustments were made to each in order to replicate the style of its reference image.
Step 3: The cologne bottle was edited in its own file then brought into the main psd. The background was removed and the Ralph Lauren logo was placed over it.
Step 4: Lastly, the text was added. The word "Polo" was created in Illustrator in order to achieve the outlined feature of the Headline Gothic typeface. The ai file was placed in Photoshop, and the eyedropper tool was used for the rest of the text to match.

1. Open a file in Photoshop
2. Identify the image size criteria
3. Manipulate the canvas size
4. Source images free of copyright restriction
5. Add images as raster images
6. Organize and rename layers
7. Create a footer with required text
8. Use appropriate selection tools
9. Scale images in proportion
10. Rotate images
11. Select specific pixels
12. Apply “Inverse” selection
13. Delete designated pixels
14. Save in appropriate file format and using file naming structure
15. Submit files to Canvas with a valid copyright statement
16. Acquire images free of copyright restriction
17. Save in the designated file format
18. Upload to Canvas
